Paradise Street Project

Covering an area of 42 acres and costing in excess of £900 million, Grosvenor’s Paradise Street Project (also known as Liverpool One) is one of the largest retail developments in Europe. It will create a vital link between Liverpool city centre and Albert Dock and is divided into six distinct zones:

Paradise Street

Paradise Street will be transformed into a wide pedestrianised shopping boulevard with numerous stores and outdoor cafés.

Hanover Street

Existing buildings will be renovated. Many of the shops here will sell products for the home.

Peter’s Lane

This area will be home to numerous squares and shopping arcades, with a focus on retail fashion.

South John Street

South John Street will be at the heart of the development and will feature major retailers such as John Lewis and Debenhams. Shops will be on two levels.

The Park

Chavasse Park will be redeveloped as one of Liverpool’s major urban spaces. An underground car park, with space for 2,000 cars, will be built. The Hilton Hotel will also be situated here.

Travel Interchange

A new public transport hub.

The development will be completed by late 2008.
