Wigan’s Grand Arcade shopping centre opened in March 2007 and was a welcome addition to the town’s retail landscape.
The biggest stores here are Debenhams, Marks & Spencer, Bhs, Wilkinson, and H&M. Other shops include HMV, Waterstone’s, Clinton Cards, Republic, Bank, Monsoon, O2, The Body Shop, WHSmith, Game, Next, Topman & Topshop, La Senza, River Island, Sports Direct, Hurley, and Ann Summers.
The Grand Arcade is open 7 days a week. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday 9 am to 6 pm (8 pm on Thursday – late night shopping).
The Casino Café, the centre’s first floor eating area, takes its name from the legendary Wigan Casino nightclub that used to stand on the site.
The shopping centre is situated in Wigan town centre, bounded by Standishgate, Crompton Street, Riverway, and Millgate. It is within easy walking distance of the Wigan bus station, and Wigan Wallgate and North Western train stations.
The Grand Arcade boasts two multi-storey car parks. The Millgate Car Park offers 600 spaces while the Crompton Street Car Park can accommodate around 250 vehicles.
