Liverpool One is a £1 billion retail and leisure development in the heart of Liverpool city centre. The 42 acre development was completed in 2008 and boasts over 160 stores, more than 20 restaurants and bars, a multiplex cinema, apartments, hotels, a bus station, and around 3,000 car parking spaces. It has transformed the city, revitalising a previously derelict and rundown area, and creating over 5,000 permanent jobs.
Stores, Attractions & Restaurants
South John Street
South John Street sits at the heart of the development and offers two levels of shops, with anchor tenants Debenhams and John Lewis at each end. Stores here include Superdrug, Bank, Gap, The Body Shop, Jane Norman, Warehouse, Lipsy, Faith, Zara, WHSmith, HMV, All Saints, Republic, Esprit, Pull & Bear, Lakeland, Oasis, Mamas & Papas, La Senza, Peacocks, Disney, Adidas, Tom Wolfe, Office, Mango, Hollister, Game, Adams, Henleys, Ann Summers, Austin Reed, Thorntons, Pandora, and Ernest Jones.
Both Liverpool FC and Everton have stores here. Everton cheekily named their store Everton Two so its full address reads Everton Two, Liverpool One.
Paradise Street
Paradise Street is a wide pedestrianised street with numerous clothes shops including G-Star, Puma, Drome, Oakley, Lacoste, Henri Lloyd, Bench, JD, Cult, New Look, H&M, and American Apparel. It’s also home to shoe shops such as Aldo and Foot Asylum, and technology stores like Apple and Sony. Places to eat and drink include Pret a Manger, Starbucks, and Greggs.
Peter’s Lane and Manesty’s Lane
Fashion stores here include Coast, Fat Face, Flannels, Fred Perry, Jaeger, Karen Millen, Miss Selfridge, Reiss, Ted Baker, Topshop/Topman, and Whistles. There’s also a branch of Waterstone’s, a Cath Kidston store, and shoe stores Dune, Jones Bootmaker, and Onitsuka Tiger.
Hanover Street
Hanover Street is home to a large Tesco superstore and hairdressers Herbert of Liverpool.
Leisure Terrace
The Leisure Terrace sits above the shops on South John Street and offers a number of entertainment options and restaurants.
The Odeon offers 14 screens including a massive IMAX screen while Jungle Rumble offers two 18-hole crazy golf courses. Restaurants and bars here include Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Nando’s, Yee Rah, Las Iguanas, Zizzi, Pesto, Wagamama, Red Hot World Buffet, and Pizza Hut.
Chavasse Park
Chavasse Park is 5 acre open space within the Liverpool One development featuring a large lawn, walled gardens and terraces, paths, and trees. It sits 50 metres above ground level and conceals the Q-Park car park beneath it.
The park is also home to several restaurants including Chaophraya (Thai), Zeligs (Italian), and Café Sports Express.

Other facilities and services at Liverpool One include an information centre, lifts to all floors, cash machines and branches of Barclays and NatWest, a Shopmobility scheme, toilets, and baby changing facilities.
Opening Hours
Shops are open 7 days a week. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 9.30 am to 8 pm, Saturday 9 am to 7 pm, and Sunday 11 am to 5 pm.
The Tesco supermarket is open from Monday at 6 am until Friday at midnight. It opens on Saturday at 6 am and closes at 10 pm. On Sundays it opens at 11 am and closes at 5 pm.
One Park West
One Park West is a mixed use building that includes offices, a gym, and 326 one, two, and three bedroom apartments. It is the tallest structure in Liverpool One and was designed by architect Cesar Pelli, famous for the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur.
Hotels & Accommodation
The Hilton at Liverpool One offers 215 guest rooms while the Novotel boasts 209 rooms. Both hotels feature a restaurant, bar, and fitness centre.
BridgeStreet offers 77 one, two, and three bedroom serviced apartments. Each apartment features a fully fitted kitchen, flat screen TV, iPod dock, and internet access.
Other accommodation options near Liverpool One include the 3-star Jurys Inn and the 4-star Staybridge Suites next to the Echo Arena, the Premier Inn and the Holiday Inn Express at Albert Dock, and the Formule 1 and Ibis.

Driving Directions & Car Parking
To reach Liverpool One from the M62, or any other major road, follow the brown tourist signs for Albert Dock (Liverpool One is next to it).
There are three car parks and 3,000 car parking spaces at Liverpool One: Liverpool One (under Chavasse Park, postcode L1 8LT), John Lewis (postcode L1 8DH), and Hanover Street (L1 4AF).
Bus Station
The Liverpool One Bus Station (formerly Paradise Street Interchange) offers frequent services to and from destinations in Liverpool and beyond including St Helens, Runcorn, Netherton, Prescot, Halewood, Speke, Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Garston, Childwall, Fazakerley, and Dingle.
