O2 Apollo Manchester
The 02 Apollo Manchester was originally built as a cinema, but since the 1970s has served as one of the city’s major concert venues.
Capacity
The Apollo has a capacity of 2693 for all-seated events and 3500 for standing/seated events (seats are removed from the stalls but remain in the front and rear circles). Seating plans are available on the official website.
The theatre is much smaller than the MEN Arena but many prefer its more intimate atmosphere.

Concerts and shows scheduled for 2012 include Thin Lizzy, James Morrison, Billy Connolly, McFly, Enter Shikari, Matt Cardle, Chris Rea, The Osmonds, Elvis Costello, Buzzcocks, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Frankie Boyle, Level 42, Jason Byrne, and Peter Andre.

Tickets & Box Office
The theatre box office is open Monday to Friday, noon to 3 pm, with additional opening hours on concert days. The phone number is 0161 273 7785. Tickets are also available from Ticketmaster and See.
02 customers can purchase tickets up to 48 hours in advance of them going on sale. They can also take advantage of the 02 Priority Queue and gain faster access.
Location, Directions & Parking
The Apollo is situated on Stockport Road in the Ardwick area of Manchester.
Visitors travelling by car and using satellite navigation systems should use the postcode M12 6AP to find it. There are two supervised car parks near the Apollo. Parking charges are currently £4.
Manchester Piccadilly is the nearest train station and is around ¾ mile from the theatre. Walking along London Road/Downing Street takes around 15 minutes.
Buses 192, 201, 203, 204 and 205 go to Manchester Apollo and leave from Piccadilly Gardens in the city centre. The journey takes less than 10 minutes.
