Bridgewater Hall
Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall is a world-class international concert venue that cost a staggering £42 million to build. It opened in 1996 and hosts over 250 performances a year. An organ with over 5,500 pipes dominates the main 2,400 seat auditorium.
To ensure that the hall remains acoustically separated from the chaos of nearby Deansgate Locks, the entire building actually rests, above the ground, on over 300 giant steel springs.
Tickets (and a full events listing) can be obtained from Seetickets or Ticketmaster. Both are reliable suppliers.
