Chinatown - Manchester

Manchester’s Chinatown is a relatively new area of the city, most of the businesses here were opened in the 1970s. It lies to the west of the Gay Village and Piccadilly and is dominated by an impressive Ming Dynasty Imperial Chinese Arch, a gift to the city from the people of China.

The area is home to many restaurants including the Yang Sing, Pacific, Pan-Asia and Tai Wu. Chinese supermarkets, acupuncturists and takeaways also abound.

The busiest times in Chinatown are actually Sundays when most Chinese take the day off.
