This 14-screen multiplex cinema is situated on the Ashton Moss Leisure Park in Ashton-under-Lyne, close to both Manchester and Oldham.

Facilities include free car parking and full disabled access. The cinema is open 7 days a week. Tickets are cheapest on Tuesdays and before 5 pm the rest of the week. Children’s movies are shown on Saturday mornings at pocket money prices.

There are numerous restaurants and places to eat nearby (Nando’s, Frankie and Benny’s etc.). The Hollywood Bowl is next door.

To get to Cineworld Ashton by car, leave the M60 at Junction 23 and drive towards Manchester. After ¼ mile turn right onto Lord Sheldon Way and follow the road for ¾ mile to Ashton Moss. Satellite navigation owners can use the postcode OL7 0PG.

I had the misfortune to visit this cinema today Saturday 14/11/09 for the 4:30 pm showing of Harry Brown, The place was busy but the service was dreadful, with only two tills open at the refreshment counter. The floor was filthy with litter and to top it all the cinema was freezing with no heating whatsoever. I came home with aching bones due to the cold. Needless to say I wont be in a hurry to visit again. A day out ruined.
