Comedy Store Manchester
Manchester’s Comedy Store stages comedy shows featuring the top names in the business and upcoming acts. It opened at Deansgate Locks in 2000 and is the sister venue of the famous Comedy Store in London.
Regular comedy shows on Wednesdays and Thursdays feature 3 comedians while the Best In Stand Up on Friday and Saturday evenings offer shorter sets by 5 comedians. King Gong, held on the first Sunday of the month, offers members of the public the chance to try their hand act comedy.
Shows usually start at 8 pm. On Saturday evenings there are two shows, one at 7 pm and one at 9.30 pm.
Tickets can be booked online via the official website, by telephoning the Comedy Store box office on 0161 839 9595, or by calling at the box office in person. The box office is open Monday and Tuesday noon to 5 pm, and Wednesday to Saturday noon till late. Tickets purchased at the box office are not subject to a booking fee. Cheaper tickets are available for students, teachers, NHS workers, and members of the services.
The Comedy Store offers a bar and restaurant. Restaurant and Show tickets offer and a la carte meal while Bar and Show tickets include an item from the bar menu (burgers, nachos etc.) and a drink. Further eating and drinking options can found around Deansgate Locks.
Deansgate train station is just across the road while the Deansgate-Castlefield Metrolink station is actually above the venue. Visitors travelling by car and using sat nav should enter the postcode M1 5LH.
