Manchester Craft and Design Centre
Housed in a former fish market, this airy space is a home to around 20 independent studios and small stores selling jewellery, glassware, ceramics, textiles, photographs, sculpture and more.
The products sold here make unique and distinctive gifts, all made by artists in residence.
The Manchester Craft and Design Centre also features a café and hosts a changing programme of contemporary art and design exhibitions.
The centre is open Monday to Saturday. Opening hours are 10 am to 5.30 pm.
It’s situated on Oak Street in the Northern Quarter, the home of Manchester’s creative community. The nearest Metrolink stations are the Shudehill Interchange and Market Street.
