Deansgate Locks
The old railway arches on Whitworth Street West are now the home of several bars and entertainment venues. Known as Deansgate Locks, it is one of the most popular areas of Manchester for a night out.
Bars and clubs at Deansgate Locks include Sakura, Revolution, the Pitcher & Piano, Baa Bar, Missoula, and Sugar Buddha. Manchester’s Comedy Store is also here.
Deansgate Locks is just across the road from Deansgate train station and under Deansgate-Castlefield Metrolink station. Visitors travelling by car and using satellite navigation systems can use the postcode M1 5LH.
