Deansgate

Deansgate is one of Manchester’s busiest streets. The highlight here is undoubtedly the House of Fraser (Kendals). It is also home to numerous bars, pubs and restaurants including the La Tasca and the Living Room.

King Street

King Street is where Manchester’s rich and famous seek retail therapy. Most of the businesses here are shops outlets selling designer fashions. Armani, Agent Provocateur and Vivienne Westwood are all here.

St. Ann’s Square

St. Ann’s Square is one the Manchester’s most picturesque squares and main shopping districts. It is named after the elegant, 18th century church that stands at its southern end.

The Royal Exchange was once the centre of the world cotton industry, but now houses the Royal Exchange Theatre. Major retail outlets here include Habitat and the Disney Store. The Easy Internet Café is popular with visitors wanting to check their email.

Specialist markets, festivals and other events are often held in the square.

Mr Thomas’s Chop House Pub 52 Cross Street [View Map] Legendary institution. Well-preserved Victorian pub with a great reputation for British food. Sister pub of Sam’s Chop House.
