The Lowry
Located on the waterfront in Manchester’s Salford Quays, the Lowry is home to a variety of performing and visual arts.
The Lowry has 2 main theatres that offer a full range of live entertainment including opera, ballet, musicals, dance, comedy and West End shows. The Lyric Theatre seats 1,730 while the smaller Quays Theatre can accommodate 466. Seating plans for both theatres are available on the official website.
Tickets for performances at the Lowry can be purchased online at the official website or at the Lowry’s ticket agency, Quaytickets. Alternatively they can be bought at the box office in person or by telephone on 0843 208 6000. Booking fees apply for tickets purchased online or over the phone. Discounted tickets are available for children, students, the disabled, seniors, and unemployed.

The Lowry Restaurant enjoys a fantastic waterside setting and is open for lunch and dinner. Pre-show dinner reservations can be made when booking tickets. Other facilities include several bars, a coffee shop, and gift shop.
Visitors travelling to the Lowry by car should leave the M60 motorway at Junction 12 and take the M602, signposted for Salford and Manchester city centre. At the end of the M602 take the A5063 to Salford Quays and then follow the brown tourist signs to the Lowry. Visitors with satellite navigation systems can use the postcode M50 3AZ. Parking is available at the Lowry Outlet Mall multi-storey car park, next to the theatre.
The nearest Metrolink stations to the Lowry are MediaCityUK and Harbour City. Metrolink trams run from various places in Manchester city centre; Piccadilly (train station), Piccadilly Gardens (bus station), St Peter’s Square, and Deansgate-Castlefield.
The Salford QuaysLink bus (number 9) runs from Salford Crescent train station to the Lowry and Lowry Outlet Mall.
