For a one night stay I paid £165. The room could have been better for the money. The staff were friendly. I would go again but ask for a better room.

I don't think there's a better place to stay in Manchester. The room was wonderfully appointed and the staff were very highly trained. The Metrolink is on your doorstep and you've got eating, drinking, and shopping facilities in every direction. Tiny negative is that you have to park round the corner.

If you've got the money why bother looking anywhere else.

I usually try to stay here if I can get it for the right price as it has so much character and both the location and the level of service are excellent. It's perfect for Manchester Central and Manchester's beautiful central library is just across the road.

I can't speak too highly of this place. Things went like clockwork from beginning to end. The check in was smooth and efficient, the staff were polite, professional and well informed and the room was excellent and left nothing to be desired. You don't even have to bother with taxis most of the time as the location is perfect and the Metrolink stops right outside.

Absolutely loved staying here. The building is beautiful and the room was spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated. The staff were very warm and friendly and extremely efficient. The only tiny negative was having to park in the car park nearby, but that was a small price to pay for such excellence.

I had always wanted to stay here and was not disappointed. It had everything I expected and more, and I would not hesitate to return. The staff could not do enough for me. Simply first class!

It was nice to stay in probably one of Manchester's most famous hotels. Perfect location for everything and Metrolink nearby. Excellent room and service. No parking on site, but NCP just behind.

Nice restaurant here, but very expensive in my opinion.

The room was nice and the staff friendly. The best thing was the location (right in the centre) and the lobby area and bar (lots of character).
