The Palace Hotel

With its distinctive 217 ft tall clock tower the Palace Hotel Manchester dominates the corner of Oxford Road and Whitworth Street. The terracotta Grade II listed building was designed by architect Alfred Waterhouse and was formerly the headquarters of the Refuge Assurance Company.

The hotel offers 257 rooms that include high-speed internet connections and en-suite bathrooms. The Tempus Bar and Restaurant offers dining and drinks in one of the city’s most opulent spaces.

The Palace Hotel is located on Oxford Road, next to the Palace Theatre and the Cornerhouse. It offers easy access to the Conference Quarter, the universities and the Gay Village.

This is a great building and a superb location with everything you would expect from a classy hotel. Don't do what I did and go out without paying attention to where your room is. It's so big inside it's not that easy to find it when you've had a few.

This is an absolutely gorgeous building and so centrally located you couldn't ask for more. We stayed in a room with massive ceilings, don't think we've ever stayed somewhere like that before. Even got a free bottle of wine. Very impressed.

This place is ideal in my opinion. Oxford Road train station and the famous Cornerhouse cinema are one minute away. The staff are extremely friendly and professional and my room had everything I needed.

Beautiful building and great hotel in an ideal location near to all amenities. Plenty of pubs, clubs, and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Sainsbury's opposite and casino round the corner.

Can't beat the location. Right next to the Palace Theatre and one minute's walk to the Cornerhouse cinema and Oxford Road train station. Short bus ride to the famous curry mile.

The lobby and bar were very impressive and have obviously been refurbished. The same could not be said of my room.
