Royal Exchange Theatre
Manchester's leading theatre company is based in the historic Royal Exchange, once the centre of the world cotton industry.
The theatre itself is actually a seven-sided steel and glass module that sits within the Royal Exchange; at one point the largest room in the world. The stage area is surrounded by seating on all sides.
