St Ann's Square
St Ann’s Square is a pedestrianised square in Manchester city centre, between Cross Street and Deansgate. It takes its name from St Ann’s Church at its southern end.
The Royal Exchange Theatre lies on the eastern side of the square in a building that was formerly a centre for cotton trading.
There are three shopping arcades with entrances on St Ann’s Square; The Barton Arcade, The Royal Exchange Arcade, and St Ann’s Arcade. Exchange Street, just north of the square, is home to several shops including French Connection, Henri Lloyd, and Swarovski. Businesses on St Ann Street, on the opposite side of the square, include Eat, Frankie & Benny’s, Mappin & Webb, Fraser Hart, and Gap.
