Happy Mount Park
Happy Mount Park opened in the 1920’s and is situated at the eastern end of Morecambe’s Promenade.
Attractions
The park is one of the best in North West England and features a wealth of attractions catering to families and children:
Playground - The children’s playground is located near the main entrance and offers various pieces of equipment suitable for young children such as a climbing frame, slide, swings etc.
Swingboats – The brightly painted swingboats are one of the most popular attractions in the park.
Putting green – clubs can be rented from the café
Trampolines – 8 trampolines suitable for children
Bowling green – woods can be rented from the kiosk
Playland – Fenced off area with lots of children’s cars, bikes, playhouses etc.
Miniature railway – A relaxing ride around the Playland area
Natural Adventure Play Area – new area at the rear of the park with large climbing frame, cable ride, sand area, basket swing etc.
Splash Park – water-based play area with sprays, canons, etc
Japanese garden – traditional Japanese garden with pond
Pirates in the Park – indoor play area
Café in the Park – offers a good selection of food and drink
Multi-sports area – suitable for tennis, football, basketball and other sports
Prices
Entrance to Happy Mount Park is free, but there is a small charge for certain attractions such as Playland, Pirates in the Park, swingboats, putting green, miniature railway, trampolines, and crazy golf.
Events
Brass bank concerts are held every Sunday from the beginning of May until the middle of September. Performances begin at 2.30 pm and last for around 2 hours.
Happy Mount Park also hosts a number of family orientated days throughout the year; Easter egg hunts, Pirate’s Day, Halloween night etc.

Opening Times
Happy Mount Park is open 7 days a week. The opening time is 8.30 am every morning but closing times vary throughout the year. For example, in May, June and July the park closes at 9 pm, in August at 8.30 pm, and in November, December and January at 4.30 pm.

Location
The park is located in the Bare area of Morecambe, next to Morecambe Golf Club. To find it from Morecambe town centre, simply drive east along the Promenade.
There is a car park (paid) next to the park. Satellite navigation users can use the postcode LA4 6AJ.
Bare train station is just a short walk from the park. Services run to Morecambe and Lancaster.
