Morecambe Tourist Information Centre

One of the best places to get reliable travel and tourist info is the Morecambe Tourist Information Centre.

The tourist office is located in the Platform, an old railway station that now serves as a performing arts centre, and offers a good range of services including:

  • Hotel and accommodation bookings
  • Tickets for local events – including shows at The Platform and Williamson Park
  • Leaflets for local attractions
  • National Express tickets
  • Maps, books, guides, gifts and souvenirs (including Eric Morecambe merchandise)
  • Isle of Man ferry tickets
  • Information about the guided walks across Morecambe Bay

Totally agree with you! It's a disgrace. No one visits the seaside for just 2 hours. Putting time related parking restrictions on visitors will only deter people from visiting and spending money in local shops. Perhaps the Council don't want visitors - it sounds like it. Hope you find somewhere else nice to visit.

We visited Morecambe on Wednesday. We found a parking space in a disabled bay and set up our 2 mobility scooters only to find we could only park for 2 hrs. We then went to look for some lunch and finally found Wetherspoons. After our lunch we only had 15 mins left so couldn't ride along the front like we'd planned. Dismantling the scooters, finding a new space and setting them up again was too much for 2 OAP's so we decided to go to the Festival Market as we knew there was a car park and we thought we could manage to walk round there. It was closed so we came home. We felt like Morecambe doesn't really want visitors and we won't be going again. Our at least half day turned out to be just 2 hours. Not good enough!
