I was ten years old the day of the premier of A Hard Days Night in Liverpool. I remember the occasion very well- my dad was an engineer at Liverpool Airport ( The old one!) and he took me down there that night to see the Beatles returning to London. He got permission for me to stand on the outside of the aircraft steps- so I had a close view of the four, plus DJ David Jacobs and Brian Epstein ( I think) We had a conversation with them, which I remember word for word to this day. I also got John and Paul’s autographs-hastily scrawled on scraps of yellow airport card! Sadly I gave these away later to a relative!! I’ll never forget it.I’ll never forget their PVC raincoats shiy in the rainy light-and their shiny long hair! I’d love to see the exhibition. Thanks.
