Big Wheel’s future resolved

Big Wheel operators World Tourist Attractions have reached an agreement with Manchester City Council over the attraction’s future. The giant wheel will remain in Exchange Square until January 22 when it will be dismantled to allow a refurbishment of the square to take place. It will then return in the spring and will remain until early 2008 when it will be replace by an even larger version, two thirds the height of the London Eye.
