Big wheel in Preston at Christmas
October 9th, 2007A huge Ferris wheel is to be installed on Preston’s Flag Market as part of the city’s Christmas celebrations. The wheel will be open from November 16 and will offer riders an unrivalled view of the city centre. Other attractions planned for the festive period include an ice rink and Christmas farmers’ market.

Well, we drove over from Lytham on Sunday 23 December to see the Preston Christmas Ice Rink, expecting to find it in the Flag Market. The Ferris Wheel was there, as described on the Net, but we failed to locate the Ice Rink which we expected to find there, too. We asked around but no-one knew anything about it. One of the people we asked had brought his family and they were looking for it too.
