Bury Transport Museum opening later this month
March 10th, 2010The Duke of Gloucester will officially reopen Bury Transport Museum on March 26.
The museum closed in 2003 but over the last 2 years has undergone a £2.9 million refurbishment, partly financed by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The museum will be managed by the East Lancashire Railway and staffed by their volunteers.
While in the town he will also visit the Bury Black Pudding Company’s factory on Bridgehall Lane.
