Creamfields tickets and line-up

The line-up for Creamfields 2007 has just been announced. Acts initially scheduled to appear include Grove Armada, Chemical Brothers, Groove Armada, Kelis, Carl Cox, Erick Morillo and 2 Many DJ’s. More will be announced at a later date.

The festival will take place on Saturday August 25 at the Daresbury Estate, Warrington. Tickets are available from See.

The Creamfields dance festival will return to Warrington for the second year running. It will be held on Saturday August 25 2007 at the Daresbury Estate. Acts rumoured to appear include Underworld and Daft Punk.

Liverpool thieves leave Warrington residents frustrated

Some Warrington residents may feel a little frustrated over the coming weeks. On Tuesday thieves stole a consignment of sex toys en route to the town. The Warrington Guardian reports that £2,000 worth of sex toys were stolen when a van bound the Nice n’ Naughty store in Warrington, parked in Liverpool. The haul included 36 rampant rabbits and 12 blow-up dolls. Store owner Simon Prescott said, ‘It is crucial that we get this stock replaced as quickly as possible.’

Gulliver’s World hotel wins government approval

The government have reversed the decision of Warrington councillors and given permission to Gulliver’s World to build a hotel at the children’s theme park. Construction is expected to begin in 2008

Omega Plan Gets the Go Ahead

Plans to build a £1 billion business park in Warrington look set to get the go ahead after the government said it would leave the planning decision in the hands of local councillors. The Omega development will be built on the site of the former Burtonwood airbase and will include office space, hotels, shops and houses. It will be one of the largest regeneration projects in Europe.

Warrington Beer Festival 2006

Warrington’s annual beer festival, Oktoberfest, will be held at Parr Hall and will run from October 12 to 14 this year. Organised by the Rotary Club and sponsored by Coors, the event is now in its 10th year. The £5 entry fee includes a pint and souvenir glass.
