Company plans passenger flights from Carlisle Airport

Stobart Air has announced plans to bring commercial passenger services to Carlisle Airport. The proposed £25 million investment would see a new runway, control tower and hangers at the ageing airport, currently only used by private aircraft.

    surerly carlisle cannot let this oppertunity go by,this would benifit the whole of cumbria. we must move with the times. let these people give cumbria an airport and good jobs, as far as the rest of the stobart/tinkler buissiness this should be able to go ahead as well. cumbria is dying as far as jobs etc go. let these people spend there money in cumbria not cheshire…….

    This is ONLY to benefit Tinkler, I doubt we will ever see commercial flights , its just about freight
