Hart’s Restaurant closes
February 12th, 2007Morecambe’s Hart’s Restaurant has closed after more than 100 years of trading. The popular seafront eatery had an illustrious history and was even featured in the 1960 film The Entertainer, starring Laurence Olivier.

I feel so sad about it. Ten years have passed. It reminded me a lot of the time when I was there. I don’t know what is the reason for the closure of the business after more than a century’s trading while it was still running so popular before it was closed.
I once interviewed Mr Hart and he was at that time so confident and proud of his business. His endeavour and perseverance for the holy business had very much inspired me in my pursuit of study. My short time hosting in the restaurant had deepened my knowledge of British culture and
way of life.
I feel upset of the close of the business and who may tell me the reason and how it is now going on with the Hart’s?

Yes it is sad it has closed.Myself and wife had some very nice meals there.With good service and nice people working there.The waitresses in black and white dressed smart like they used to be.
Always reminded me of my dear mam who was a silver service waitress for years.Sadly never got the chance to take mam for a meal there,She would of loved it.
Sadly not many left like that now.
