Internet kiosks to be scrapped

January 2nd, 2007

Over 40 special internet telephone kiosks in Bolton are to be scrapped because of poor usage, reports the Bolton News. They were installed just three years ago at a cost of £360,000 as part of the Access Bolton initiative. The most unpopular kiosk, in Chew Moor, has averaged only 20 minutes of use each month since 2004.
