Macdonald Hotels completes sale of hotels

Macdonald Hotels and Resorts have sold twenty four of their hotels to the Moorfield Real Estate Fund in a deal worth over £400 million. The deal includes the Last Drop in Bolton and the Dunkenhalgh Hotel in Blackburn. The hotels will continue to be run by Macdonald Hotels under a short-term management contract. The company will bid for the long-term contract along with two unnamed international hotel companies.
