Windermere Air Show 2008
July 11th, 2008The skies over Windermere will be filled with aircraft later this on the when the Rotary Club of Windermere host their annual air show. The two-day festival will take place in Bowness on July 26-27 and will feature more air displays and ground attractions than ever before.
Displays will include a Battle of Britain Flight featuring a Spitfire and a Dakota, an aerobatic display by the Yakovlevs Formation Display Team, a Chinook Helicopter, and the RAF Falcons Parachute Formation Team.
On land the Earl of Loudoun’s Regiment of Foote, a group of Civil War re-enactment enthusiasts, will be performing mock battles. Other attractions will include hunting birds, children’s train rides and bouncy castle, and sideshows.
