Penrith Pubs & Clubs

Being a small market town in Cumbria, Penrith isn’t noted for its nightlife. Nevertheless it does have a couple of clubs and a reasonable selection of pubs and bars. The surrounding countryside and villages are home to a number of historic pubs, many of which serve decent food and real ales.

Queen’s Head Inn	Pub	Tirril	[View Map]	18th century pub once owned by the family of William Wordsworth. Features a bar, games room and restaurant. Venue for the Cumbrian Beer & Sausage Festival every August.

Warehouse, The	Pub/Club	Burrowgate, Penrith	[View Map]	Huge venue offering 4 different bars and accommodating up to 900 people. Open 7 days. Shows Premiership football and other sporting events.
Yanwath Gate Inn	Pub	Yanwath	[View Map]	Country pub built in 1683 as a toll gate and just a few minutes drive from Penrith. The bar features a log fire and beamed ceiling. Adjoining dining room enjoys a great reputation and offers a menu that makes good use of local organic produce.
