Kendal Calling
Kendal Calling is an independent art and music festival held in the Lake District each summer.
It began in 2006 at Abbot Hall Park in the centre of Kendal but is now held at Lowther Deer Park, near Penrith.
Features include the main stage, dance tent, comedy and arts stage, kids’ area, plus all the facilties you would expect to find at a well organised festival (several campsites, ATM machines, store, showers, car parking etc.).
Lowther Dear Park is around 5 miles south of Penrith. A shuttle bus service offers transport between Penrith train station and the festival grounds.
The video below shows highlights from the 2009 festival.
