Preston Guild Hall and Charter Theatre

The Preston Guild Hall is an entertainment venue that regularly attracts some of the biggest names in show business. It is also the second home of the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.

It was built in 1972 to mark the Guild Celebrations of that year. In the late nineties, with the help of National Lottery funding, it was extensively refurbished.

Tickets (and a full events listing) can be obtained from Seetickets or Ticketmaster. Both are reliable suppliers.

I've been to see a few bands, shows and comedians there, including Girls Aloud and Jim Davidson. There is always plenty going on throughout the year.

I went to see McFly here the other night and it was the best concert I've ever been to. Lil Chris who supported them was also good.
