Swallow Preston Hotel

This Swallow Hotel is set in open countryside 3 miles to the east of Preston town centre. The hotel has 78 en-suite rooms. All come with a shower, TV, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, ironing board and trouser press. Most also have baths.

Leisure facilities include a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and fitness room. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar.

I struck lucky here by booking on-line and getting a bargain price. I suppose the room and the place in general would not be harmed by a refurb, but it was entirely habitable and you didn't want for anything really. The staff were quite friendly, but service was a little slow at times. Can't complain for the price though.

This is a perfect starting place to visit Preston, Blackpool or even the Lake District. The room was nice and the leisure facilities were very good. There was nobody in the pool. The staff were quite helpful and gave us some useful information with a friendly smile.

Pleasant enough place to stay and they really helped us out as we arrived on the last minute and still got something to eat. The place probably needs a bit of a refurb, but it ticks all the right boxes in terms of convenience and functionality.

Got a good deal here and made full use of the excellent leisure facilities. The food was good, but on one occasion there was a bit of a wait to be seated and it seemed like they didn't really have enough staff on sometimes.
