Macdonald Tickled Trout Hotel

The Tickled Trout Hotel sits on the banks of the River Ribble, a couple of miles from the centre of Preston and literally seconds from the M6.

The hotel has recently been refurbished and extended and now boasts 102 rooms. All are en-suite with bath and shower and come with satellite TV, direct dial telephone, hairdryer, trouser press, iron and ironing board and tea/coffee making facilities as standard.

The hotel also offers a restaurant, bar and 24-hour room service.

Nice room with comfy bed and river view, which had everything I needed. The staff who dealt with me were also very friendly and polite. Thought the bar was a bit pricey though at 4 quid a pint.

Lovely setting on the river and very easy to get to. Excellent service in every department.
