Clitheroe Castle & Museum

Originally built in the late 12th century by Robert de Lacy, Clitheroe Castle is one of the Lancashire’s oldest and most iconic buildings. Standing on a 100 ft limestone crag the keep is all that remains and is the second smallest in England.

The neighbouring Clitheroe Castle Museum houses Lancashire’s geological collections.
