Apple Store

The Apple Stores are retail shops owned and run by Apple Inc. Unlike many other stores selling computer equipment their staff are highly trained, knowledgeable and extremely enthusiastic about their product range.

The first Apple Store in North West England opened at the Trafford Centre in Manchester in November 2005. The second opened a year later in the Manchester’s Arndale Centre. The third, at Liverpool 1, opened in July 2006.

Each store carries the full range of Apple products (Macs, iPods, software, iPhones etc.). Products aside, what really separates these shops from the competition is the level of service and advice available in-store.

Unique features at Apple Stores include:

  • Genius Bar – The Genius Bar is manned by staffed trained at Apple’s headquarters in the US. They can provide answers to technical questions and solve problems on the spot. Repairs, if necessary, are carried out in-store if possible to ensure early completion. Appointments can be made online.
  • Personal Shopping – Prospective buyers get to spend uninterrupted time with a knowledgeable salesperson.
  • One to One Training – This membership programme allows members a set number of hours of training each month, either on a specific topic (e.g. moviemaking, presentations, digital photography) or assistance on any personal project.
  • Workshops – Stores run daily workshops that allow participants to extend and enhance their knowledge of Apple’s range of products. Reservations can be made online.
