Bhs - British Home Store

British Home Store (Bhs) is one of most recognised names in the UK High Street. The first store opened in Brixton in 1928, copying the business model of Woolworths, and limiting the price of any item to 1 shilling. In the 1940s the company decided to compete on quality and value-for-money, and this is still its focus today.

Product ranges include menswear, womenswear, Tammy (a range for girls aged 8 – 16), childrenswear, homewear (furniture, lighting, kitchenware, bedding, luggage etc.), and weddings (bridalwear, lingerie, shoes, stationery, gift lists etc.)

Bhs locations in the North West include Liverpool, Manchester (Arndale Centre and Trafford Centre), Blackburn (Mall), Blackpool, Bury (Mill Gate), Carlisle (The Lanes), Chester, Southport, St Helens, Stockport (Merseyway), Warrington (Golden Square), and Wigan (Grand Arcade).
