Jones Bootmaker
Jones Bootmaker is a high street footwear retailer. The company started as a family business in 1857 when Alfred Jones and his wife opened a shop in London. In 1911 the company purchased a factory and after WWII merged with shoe producers Church and Co, increasing their manufacturing capacity even further.
The Jones Bootmaker store in King Street, Manchester, opened in 1994 and was the first in a new generation of ‘CityBootmaker’ shops. Other stores in the North West are at the Trafford Centre and in Chester (Eastgate Street).
Their shoes and boots appeal mainly to young professionals (men and women). Brands stocked include their own label, Timberland, Hugo Boss, Crocs, Rockport, Camel Active, and Hush Puppies.
