Maplin Electronics is one of the UK’s leading electronic goods retailers. It was established in the early 1970s as a mail order business and has expanded rapidly, today having around 150 shops throughout the country.

The stock an extensive range of more than 12,000 products including satellite navigation systems, cables (AV, computer, telephone etc.), telephones, answering machines, intercoms, mobile telephones, scanners, CB radios, electronic components (fuses, resistors, semi-conductors, capacitors etc.), computer components (motherboards, processors, memory and graphics cards, hard drives, mice, keyboards, webcams etc.), software, CCTV, security systems, torches, metal detectors, toys and games, microscopes, binoculars, DJ equipment, disco lighting, mp3 players, hi-fi’s, radios, speakers, batteries, power adaptors, hand and power tools, satellite TV systems, Freeview receivers, TVs, DVDs, and VCRs.

Maplin has shops throughout the towns and cities of North West England including Blackburn (Peel Centre), Blackpool (Squires Gate), Bolton (Central Retail Park), Carlisle (London Road), Liverpool (Aintree), Manchester (Manchester Fort), Preston (Capitol Centre), Stockport and Warrington (Cockhedge Shopping Park).
