Thorntons

Thorntons was founded in 1911 in Sheffield and is now the UK’s largest retailer and manufacturer of specialist chocolates. The company has around 400 stores nationwide, with a good proportion located in the North West.

Products include chocolates, chocolate fountains, toffee and fudge, hampers, personalised gifts, flowers, and greeting cards.

The company also operates a number of coffee shops. NW towns and cities boasting a Café Thorntons include Barrow (Portland Walk), Liverpool, Manchester (Manchester Fort), and Warrington (Golden Square).
