Woolworths are currently offering discounts of up to 60 percent on clearance products. Items on offer include electricals, mobile phones, toys, and garden products.

Free delivery is also available until midnight August 1 2008.

Toys R Us currently has a number of items at half-price on their website. Toys on offer include Barbie Career Doll at £6.49, Shadow Tek Batmobile at £9.99, Star Wars 2007 Saga Collection Tin at £12.49, and Marlow Cotbed at £99.99.

The Early Learning Centre is currently offering free delivery on all orders above £75. The offer is valid until August 6 2008.

Other offers include 20 percent off the TP Explorer climbing frame system.

Stores have also just taken delivery of a range of WALL-E toys.

Early Learning Centres are found throughout the North West. Locations include Spindles in Oldham, Lord Street in Southport, and Golden Square in Warrington.

A sharp rise in birth rates is helping Mothercare beat the high street slump. Group sales for the 15 weeks to July 11 were up 20.7 percent following the company’s purchase of the Early Learning Centre last year, while like-for-like sales increased by 1 percent.

The company is currently integrating Early Learning Centre concessions into many of its stores.
