Barton Square a runaway success

Tuesday, July 1st, 2008

Bosses at Manchester’s Trafford Centre have announced that half a million people have visited the Barton Square extension since it opened 3 months ago.

Director of Operations Gordon McKinnon said ‘The incredible glazed bridge that leads to Barton Square has been thronged with shoppers eager to experience the Barton Square concept. Anyone who is looking to remodel a room in their home now has Barton Square as a must-visit destination. Shoppers can see the entire Marks and Spencer home range, and the entire British Home Stores range within a few steps of each other. Nowhere else offers that variety and convenience. In recent weeks, the finishing touches have been put to this breath-taking building. We’ve spent thousands of pounds on flowering planters, hanging baskets, benches and dozens of life-size marble statues. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the reaction from shoppers is: ‘Wow!’’

Stores at Barton Square include Bhs, Habitat, Next Home, Marks & Spencer Home, Dwell, HomeSense, Natuzzi, and Laura Ashley.
