The Bold Hotel

The Bold Hotel is a privately-owned hotel on Southport’s famous Lord Street, close to the Floral Hall and Promenade.

This Victorian hotel offers 23 en-suite bedrooms, each with TV, direct dial telephone, hairdryers and tea/coffee making facilities included.

The informal Bistro 585 offers an a la carte menu renowned for its use of fresh fish, while the public bar is popular with both locals and guests and serves traditional beers and bar food all day.

Couldn't fault the hotel. The room was nice and the staff were helpful and efficient. Be careful when parking though as the hotel car park is not that big and the wardens are round within minutes to punish any infringements if you park on the street.

Good choice if you come to watch the open at Royal Birkdale as it's easy to get to and when you get back you have plenty of eating, drinking and shopping possibilities on your doorstep. We were very happy with the room and the level of customer service.

We have stayed here before so the fact that we went back there says something. Found it at least satisfactory in all departments and on the food front the steak was particularly good. We would go back a third time.

Nice little place to stay, close to many amenities and very competitively priced. The room was clean and functional and had everything we required and the staff were friendly, polite, and professional. We would certainly stay here again.

I have just come back from a visit to the Bold Hotel Southport. The food was fantastic, great menu, such a variety we were spoilt for choice. Lovely friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. Can't wait to get back there in October. I work in the hospitality industry so believe me what I say is true. Also it is in a prime position for shopping etc.
