Lord Street, Southport

Lord Street is a mile-long, tree-lined boulevard in Southport. It is renowned for its high quality shopping, restaurants and bars.

There are a number of glass-vaulted shopping arcades off Lord Street including Wayfarers Arcade, Cambridge Walks, Royal Arcade and Marble Place.

There will be a large international and continental market on Lord Street during the Southport Food and Drink Festival (May 17 - 20, 2007).

They have wonderful foreign market stalls here in the summer, selling German sausages, French garlic mushrooms and cheeses, and lots more tasty stuff. I'm not sure whether they are held just at the weekends or every day.
