Britannia Prince of Wales Hotel

With over 140 rooms the Prince of Wales is one of Southport’s largest hotels. It enjoys a central position on Lord Street and is just a stone’s throw from most of the town’s restaurants, pubs, and bars.

Various types of room are available but all offer an en-suite bathroom, TV, telephone, trouser press, hairdryer, and hospitality tray.

Facilities at the Prince of Wales include a restaurant, public bar, car park, ballroom, wireless internet access, and numerous conference and meeting rooms.

A poor hotel with rubbish rooms and unhelpful staff and manager. The room was not cleaned.

We read mixed reviews about this place, but decided to go anyway because of the location. Nothing to worry about in the end in my opinion. The room was clean, quiet and well appointed, the staff were professional and polite, in the main, and overall we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

If you are into shopping and like your golf you would be hard pressed to find a better place to stay. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious and had a nice view. The staff did their best, but it could get a little crowded at breakfast. Not at all bad for the price though.

Ideal place to stay with no parking problems even though it is very centrally located. All mod cons including Wi-Fi and very friendly and attentive staff. Particularly good breakfast. Only downside - the room could've been a bit bigger and brighter.

Gorgeous building in a perfect location for golf and shopping addicts which made it ideal for me and my husband as we were both able to carry out our favourite activities! Excellent value for money when we stayed as well.
