Checked into the hotel but the room and bed were so small we asked to be moved to a bigger room which was totally different, with a large bed and more comfortable. We went for our evening meal and paid £3.50 each extra. I had lamb my hubby had fish. The lamb was tough and way over cooked and the fish was tasteless. That night we didn't get to sleep until 4 am due to the noise from the downstairs bar. We booked for three nights but checked out after only one night. Wouldn't stay here again, even if it were free. Most disappointed.

Went to Maloney's restaurant in the Scarisbrick as a party of 11 for fathers day. The food was overcooked, dry and some of it was burnt. We complained at the time but got nowhere. My father went back and spoke to the Assistant Manager who said we could have a replacement meal. On return the Operations Manager said he knew nothing of the arrangement (the details of which were in the hotel log) and he was extremely unhelpful and discourteous.

One night stay Sunday special offered excellent value. My only complaint was they advertised WiFi in hotel then charged for an internet connection.

The Scarisbrick is the best hotel in Southport and, for the price, one of the best in the North West.

This is a great place to stay and I for one would be very happy to recommend it to family and friends. The room was nice and cosy and there were some excellent leisure facilities. You are right in the heart of everything and it's not even that expensive if you book the right way.

I would be very happy to stay here again if this time was anything to go by. The room was very comfortable and clean and there were numerous options for eating and drinking without even leaving the building. Only a couple of minutes from the sea front as well.

Don't think you'll get much better in Southport and certainly not at that price.

Bit noisy, but excellent in every respect apart from that.

Think we got lucky when we stayed here as it was a special occasion for us and we ended up in a lovely four poster room with a nice view. Great staff and excellent value for money. Didn't affect us but it can be a bit noisy as there is so much going on.

Provided exactly what I was looking for when I stayed here. There's so much going on in terms of eating, drinking, and leisure facilities you don't really need to go outside if you don't want to. No complaints about anything and on top of everything else I got a great price.

I was really disappointed by a recent stay in this hotel. There was a bad odour throughout due to the large bars downstairs. Decor was faded and at £150 for the night was well overpriced. We were also kept awake by people outside on the street well into the early hours of the morning. Not good.

I stayed here for the World Musical Fireworks Championships. It's a very busy hotel with lots of bars, and people coming and going (not just hotel guests but locals and tourists). Staff were friendly and the hotel is good value for money.

The hotel was quite nice but I found it a little bit noisy for my liking.
