The check in was fast and efficient and the room was also quite reasonable for the price. They also served a very nice breakfast in the morning which was the perfect start to the day. The hotel proved to be a good base for exploring the surrounding area which is what we did. Quiet at night and secure parking was also nice.

I don't think this hotel costs a lot more than your standard chains, but you do get a lot more for your money. The building is lovely and must be several hundred years old, but they still have modern facilities like Wi-Fi. It's also very easy to get to from the motorway. Not a bad little spot.
