The Brocket Arms

This JD Wetherspoon’s Lodge offers great value accommodation just outside the centre of Wigan. There’s a large pub downstairs with good deals on food and drinks.

I don't know if there's a fan club for Wetherspoons, but if there was I would definitely be one of the first to sign up. You always know more or less what you are going to get and the price is always very competitive whatever you want.

I'm more familiar with the pub side and its cheap beer than the accommodation, but I decided to stay here based on that and was not disappointed. The room was clean and well equipped and, of course, the pub was only downstairs.

Always stay in this chain or drink in their pubs when possible. Best value around.

I often stay in this chain when I'm on business as you know more or less what you're getting and it's always a very friendly atmosphere. The bar prices are unbeatable, both for eating and drinking. The room was also very comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful.

This is great value for the money and what you would expect from a Wetherspoons. The room was clean and very comfortable and the food and drink is unbeatable for the price. It's also good for town being quite near the centre. Wigan is very lively and certainly worth a visit.

Cheap and cheerful hotel just a short taxi ride from Wigan (the nightlife here is amazing - so many pubs).
The pub does reasonably priced food and portions are good.
