Beautiful surroundings and excellent service from the friendly, attentive, professional staff. The place could do with a lick of paint though and I wasn't very impressed when they finished serving breakfast at 9.30.

Great food, but not that cheap. Still, it was worth it as we really enjoyed it. The service was very good and the room we ended up in was totally adequate, however we did have to change.

Minuses - not close to Wigan, small pool
