Lancashire is a county in North West England. It is bordered by Cumbria, North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, and Merseyside.

The county town is the city of Lancaster. Cities and towns include Blackpool, Blackburn, Preston, Burnley, Lytham St Annes, Leyland, Chorley, Accrington, Skelmersdale, Morecambe, Nelson, Darwen, and Fleetwood.

National Trust Properties in Lancashire include Gawthorpe Hall and Rufford Old Hall.

Other places to visit and things to do include Blackpool Tower, Blackpool Zoo, Pleasure Beach, the Harris, Sandcastle Waterpark, Cuerden Valley Park, Worden Park, Towneley Hall, Samlesbury Hall, Blackburn Cathedral, and Williamson Park.

The M6 Motorway passes through Lancashire and links Scotland, North West England, the East Midlands, and West Midlands.

The M55 Motorway connects Preston to Blackpool while the M61 Motorway offers a road link between Manchester and Preston.

Preston is the busiest railway station in the county. It is on the West Coast Main Line.

Heysham, near Morecambe, is a ferry port. There a ferry services to the Isle of Man and Ireland.
