Meols Cop Retail Park is a mid-sized shopping park in Southport. Stores here at the time of writing (October 2016) include Aldi, Argos, Bensons for Beds, Currys PC World, Halfords, Home Bargains, Topps Tiles, and Homebase.
The Comet store here closed in December 2012 when the company went into administration. JJB and MFI stores here met a similar fate.
Opening hours vary by store, but all are open seven days.
Sainsbury’s have applied to build a 60,000 square foot supermarket here. The results of a planning application are expected in December 2016. If successful, the new store will be built on the site of the existing Homebase.
The Meols Cop Retail Park is situated just outside Southport on Meols Cop Road (postcode PR9 7RG). Free customer parking is available. The nearest train station is Meols Cop.
The Kew Retail Park is next door. Other businesses in the immediate area include a large Tesco superstore, B&Q, and a McDonald’s restaurant.
